      HELLO!
      this is #youth-events

#youth-events is the all new channel from ScoutLink Global Youth this JOTI.
Here is how it works - we have made up a list of challenges (see the timetable) . You turn up, your given the full details of what you have to do, you complete the challenge (taking photos of what you do as you do it) and e-mail the photos to the e-mail address we give you.
After JOTI (hopfully during JOTI if we get time) we will be making a league table showing how each team is doing. The winning team will get certificates e-mailed to them.
To make sure everyone has done the event on the day - you will be given a link to a Word or PDF Document, you will need to print this off and have it in every photo.
Equipment
You will need a digital camera to take photos, and a printer to print off the piece of paper (does NOT need to be in colour).
You will also need the equipment listed for the event. This is shown on the timetable.
Channel Rules
During each event there will be no idle limit on the channel. Once the event has ended there will be a 15 minute break before the next event starts. During this break the idle limit will be set to 10 minutes. This is to remove people who arn't around, freeing up places in the channel for others who are
Conversation in #youth-events should be about the events only, all other conversation should take place in #youth, #youth-Junior or #youth-trefoil.
As with all ScoutLink Global Youth channels, the anti-swear rules will be strongly enforced.
Photos
You will need to take photos of your team doing the event in order to submit your efforts to us. As already mentioned these photos will need to contain a piece of paper with some details on (full information about this when you register).
It is YOUR responsibility to check that it is OK to take photos of people taking part and e-mail them in. Once they have been e-mailed in ScoutLink may use them for Scouting or Guiding purposes. We are not responsible for mistakes made.
Notes
62p Challenge
The 62p Challenge is 62p because, well...because the person that made the challenge up lives in England. For countries that do NOT use Pound Sterling the conversion can be done by typing
0.62 GBP in
followed by the code for your currency into Google.
For example, if you lived in the United States of America you would type
0.62 GBP in USD
into Google. This will tell you the amount in US Dollars
