#youth-bot downtime PDF Print E-mail

hi all,

 

For reasons known to someone other than me, the server we have the #youth-bots on (Mainframe, Zimmerframe, etc) on doesn't seem to be online.

 

Don't know what is wrong with the server at the moment - if its a internet connection problem or Linux has crashed on it.

 

Feel free to speculate as much as you like.

 

I've e-mailed the server owner and the bots will start them selfs up again as soon as they get a chance.

 

Game rules:

UPDATE! 20th Sept 2009 - 1329 GMT

Due to the extended length of down time, I have started up a old backup of the bots I have on my laptop.

this is running the Mayish (possibly Jan) backup of the bots - with the scores recovered from we.ScoutLink

any changed made or scores won will, probibly, be lost.

 

Update: 21st Sept 2009 0000

Spoke to the server owner today, they have spent the weekend phoning technical support every hour to try and get the problem fixed. Hoping for progress soonish.

 

More news as we hear it!

hummm - seems if you view this thread in the forum (insted of on the news page), it tries to add clever code colouring and gets the colouring wrong.

oh well, the colour is just to help you view the code, in this case it things the # of #youth-bots* is the start of a comment - but it isnt.

still - points for trying to the forum

(colour is not something you copy - just the text)
