Minutes

1.(#youth-team decision)

The team decided that 3 people were needed at a meeting to make it valid.(quorum)

2.(#youth-team decision)  Baloo_uk as #youth advisor

Baloo_uk was proposed a #youth advisor but the team voted against it. Peter clarified that the role of #youth-advisor was to turn up at and advise the meetings and help give opinions for the team but not to receive the chance to vote with the team.

3. (overall discussion) chanops in #youth

Peter asked if there were enough chanops online in #youth on a regular basis not counting himself. Various views were expressed but no decision was made.

Hungry_NZ said: "The ops you have are always idle"

Aussie_lonesQS said: "when people come on and there is nobody on especially if there new they will just leave again. It doesn't encourage new people to stay and chat" and " I'd say there weren't enough ops because when I come at times, there is nobody on in #youth and other times only Peter.

Emily said: "If there's no-one in #youth, does it really count as not having enough ops for the channel in the first place?"

Peter said the topic would come up again.

Peter came up with some ideas for #youth-pendulum

#youth-bots - a day of games

We trace down copies of past #youth bots and bring them online and allow everyone to see how our bots have evolved

To include:

a.         mIRC Mainframe

b.         Perl/Python/which-ever-language-it-was Mainframe

c.         Eggdrop Mainframe (current)

d.         Magnus

e.         Any other #youth-bots

#youth-bot code workshop

Teach basic TCL for Eggdrop and let people write their own scripts which we put onto Mainframe

#youth-access all areas

We open up #youth-team to the public and alow regular users to visit the partyline to see the insides of Mainframe

#youth-whats it like to be a op?

Regulars register in advance to have a day in which they are given ops in #youth.

 Mainframe to auto +a #youth-team members and its self to protect them.

#youth-team members to be able to remove ops of users that signed up if they cause too much trouble.

Peter said that he would like some more ideas and it would be discussed on the youth forums. He also said that if everyone in #youth likes the idea and would like to help, he would go to the council and ask,

Peter decided that Gromit94 would be able to vote during the meetings.

5. (overall discussion) #youth chanop trainer

Peter proposed that the #youth-team trained temp ops. Emily was appointed as the #youth chanop trainer. This would include training all of the new #youth-team members and temp ops for JOTI. Peter also said: "Emily was to do everything that the #youth-team are useless at."

6. (#youth-team decision) Gromit94's ops

The team decided that Gromit94 should get a full 6 months as round robin temp op.

7. (#youth-events team) #youth-events team

Hungry_NZ said the team were having problems creating enthusiasm for the competitions. He also said the hexB had now joined the team replacing taswegian.

8, (#youth promo team) #youth promo team

Tara said that there would be another meeting in 2 weeks time. She also said that she and Emily and Wallace91 were creating posters and leaflets for advertisement. Peter asked if the posters could be put up on the forums.

Peter reckons that the words ‘llama', ‘toilet' and ‘orange' should appear in the minutes and matt1sttot reckons that an orange llama toilet was what he'd always wanted.

9. (overall discussion) SL Logo

Peter needs to get a decent copy of ScoutLink logo.
