Q: My nick keeps changing to SLink-####. Why?
A: You have registered with EITHER
www.jotajoti.org (at JOTI time) OR NickServ. Your nick has been password protected as a result.
Q: How can I stop my nick changing to SLink-####?
A: If you know the password for the nick type
/nickserv login nick pass
for example, if your nick is Weebl and your password is bob type
/nickserv login Weebl bob
Q: Do I have to login to NickServ EVERY time I connect?
A: Yes.
Q: I use mIRC can i make the login happen automattically?
A: Yes.
click the green /a button on the toolbar, click on remotes and add this all on one line:

on *:NOTICE:*NickServ IDENTIFY*:?: { if ($nick == NickServ) { /nickserv login NICK PASS }}
Don't forget to change NICK to your nickname and PASS to your password.
Q: I got disconnected and when i come back it still shows me as on! what can I do?
A: if your nick is registed use /nickserv login to get your nick back, if your nick isnt registered then after 480 seconds your "ghost" wioll disapear.
Q: Is it true that i HAVE to register my nick if I want to use it?
A: No, you dont HAVE to - but if you dont register it then someone else could register it and get "your" nick - or other people could use your nick.
Q: I want to open my own channel but it says I cant, what am I doing wrong?
A: Nothing, the Global ScoutLink Council opens and cloese channels, you need to contact them (council at scoutlink dot net) if you want a channel. Please remember that we DO create channels for JOTI so that there are enough and we do NOT open channels for one group at JOTI.
