Welcome to ScoutLink Global Youth. We aim to be the fun part of ScoutLink for anyone aged 6 to 21. ScoutLink Global Youth is made up of a channel named #youth where people can chat using text messages, three game channels, a voice chat room, this website and a popular forum!
ScoutLink Global Youth is run by youth members of ScoutLink with Peter, the elected ScoutLink Global Youth Coordinator, in charge. Feel free to contact the youth coordinator at any time on coordinator@youth.scoutlink.net. If you're new to ScoutLink, pop in and say hi - a few of us are a bit strange, but you'll soon get used to them.

Congratulations and the games

As mentioned above, ScoutLink Global Youth has three games channels. The games in these channels are UNO!, KAOS and hangman. As well as that we have several games in our main channel #youth, including hotpotato, higherlower and trivia.
Many of the games are easier to play than you would expect and you may even like one enough to get addicted (we would mention roger and rae-rae being addicted to our uno game here, but that would just be mean. Hi roger and Rae-Rae!).
Our KAOS and UNO! competitions run for a month, and then start again on the 1st of the month.

we.ScoutLink

we.ScoutLink is a new part of our website that we have just added. We have linked up the bots (think robots that help out in our channels and run the games) with our website.
This means that you can now see the scores from the games as well as details of the channels on ScoutLink and which servers are working. we.ScoutLink updates every15mins.
To go with we.ScoutLink we have made a new webchat gateway. This new webchat gateway should make it easier to chat on ScoutLink (even if you're not sure what to do) - simply select the channel you want to chat in and enter a nick to be known by. Everything else is sorted out for you! (However, if it doesn't work there are some "Advanced Options" that can usually fix the problem).
we.ScoutLink and the new webchat gateway are ready to use and we got more features being added to them soon!

As per usual, the third weekend in October will be the World Scout Jamboree on the Internet. This is one of the largest Scouting and Guiding events of the year and the ScoutLink Global Youth preparations are now underway.

Our forums have more special interest places than we have on IRC - for example we have a girls only and a boy only forum, as well as a place dedicated to recipes and food! :D
